Job summary

Fishbeck is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Grand Rapids or Farmington Hills, MI to design and manage electrical systems across diverse projects. You will work with a multidisciplinary team, conduct site visits, prepare construction documents, and ensure code compliance from planning through construction.

The role requires a BSEE (or equivalent), familiarity with NEC/IBC/Energy Codes, and software proficiency (AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Design Master Electrical, EasyPower, lighting design tools).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (BSEE or equivalent).
• Experience designing electrical systems for water and wastewater facilities is preferred.
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) or working toward licensure.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical and construction documentation.
• Design and support electrical and building systems.
• Conduct site visits and gather field data.
• Coordinate with clients and project stakeholders.
• Provide construction administration and project support.
• Review and prepare engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Support projects from planning and design through construction.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams.
