Kimley-Horn in Akron, OH is seeking an Electrical Engineer with 5+ years of experience to contribute to the Water/Wastewater Electrical team. This on-site role may require up to 20% travel as project needs arise.

You will design electrical systems for water infrastructure, manage projects, coordinate with clients, and mentor junior staff while ensuring NEC compliance and quality Deliverables.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
• Active Ohio P.E. license or reciprocity within six months of start date
• 5+ years of electrical engineering and project delivery experience
• Experience managing projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
• Electrical design for water/wastewater projects
• Knowledge of NEC
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel and Word
• Revit and Forma preferred
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work on-site in Akron, OH up to four days per week
• Travel up to 20% as needed
• Familiarity with CSI-format specs and NFPA 820

Responsabilidades

• Assist in design of water transmission and distribution systems, pumping stations, water treatment systems
• Manage electrical, instrumentation, and controls projects for water facilities
• Manage project scope, fees, schedules, staffing, and client communication
• Serve as Engineer of Record for plans and specifications
• Lead quality-control reviews for technical accuracy and code compliance
• Perform electrical design including power distribution, PLCs, motor starters, VFDs
• Support permitting, bidding, submittals, construction coordination
• Develop client relationships and pursue opportunities to win new work
• Mentor staff and provide technical direction to project teams
