Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an Electrical Engineer Water/Wastewater to support and lead electrical design for municipal and industrial facilities. The role involves coordinating with regional centers, guiding staff, and ensuring client standards are met across multiple cities.

Ideal candidates bring strong experience in electrical design, power distribution, and water/wastewater projects, with a track record in project leadership, BD support, and collaboration with utilities.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• Active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements.
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding including background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search.

Responsibilities

• Develop solutions for complex engineering problems for existing client facilities.
• Lead projects including management of project schedules, budgets, and staffing on the Water Solution team.
• Provide technical guidance on client standards and expectations to engineering and technician staff in regional design centers.
• Serve as technical expert in electrical power distribution and plant electrical systems for client consultations.
• Support business development related to enhanced Electrical services.
• Build business relationships with clients to understand needs and drivers.
• Coordinate with local electrical utilities on project technical needs.
• Construction inspection and resolution of electrical construction issues.
• Startup and testing of major electrical equipment.
• Review of supplier submittals.
• Continual learning and development of technical expertise.
