Job summary

Experis seeks an Electrical Engineer for its automotive electronics client in Irvine, CA. You will join the Electronics Test and Validation team to design and execute verification plans for ECU programs, analyze test data, and validate components at IC and PCBA levels.

You will collaborate across reliability, design, and firmware teams to troubleshoot issues and deliver quality results through early feedback and robust test coverage.

Qualifications

• BS/MS or equivalent work experience in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in electronics characterization and validation testing.
• Experience using lab instrumentation like oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, digital multimeters, etc.
• Very good understanding of Electrical Engineering fundamentals.
• Working knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and communication buses.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed design verification and characterization test plans for ECU programs with input from reliability, design, and firmware teams
• Lead the execution of characterization testing plans according to project milestones
• Own test coverage reports and perform analysis to ensure compliance and quality
• Perform bench-level characterization at IC and PCBA levels to validate electronic components
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot firmware and hardware issues, providing early feedback to design engineers
