Job summary

Pure Power seeks an Electrical Engineer to design and produce construction documents for utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects 50 MW and larger.

The role supports interconnection studies, layouts, equipment specs, and single-line diagrams, with hybrid work in Kansas City, KS. Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 1–3 years of related experience required; NEC familiarity and AutoCAD experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of internship, co-op, academic project, or professional experience in electrical engineering, solar PV, or power systems.
• Exposure to AutoCAD or similar drafting software and experience with construction documents.
• Familiarity with NEC, electrical safety concepts, and industry standards; willingness to learn.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support design and engineering of utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects under guidance.
• Create layout and equipment specs, single-line and three-line diagrams.
• Size cables, route conduits, and design grounding, protection, and wiring diagrams.
• Prepare construction drawing packages using AutoCAD.
• Coordinate with project teams, clients, utilities, and contractors.
• Assist during construction with RFIs and submittals.
