Job summary

Pure Power seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and produce construction documents for utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects of 50 MW and larger. Based in the Denver area with a hybrid schedule, you will join a team delivering high-quality electrical designs and build-ready drawings.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of relevant experience, strong AutoCAD and NEC knowledge, and a passion for renewable energy. PE licensure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years designing commercial and/or utility-scale solar PV systems.
• AutoCAD experience for construction documents and sheet management.
• Working knowledge of NEC and industry standards.
• Ability to read and produce electrical drawings and specs.
• Strong communication and multi-project prioritization skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel/Word).
• Familiarity with PV systems, BESS, and interconnection processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects 50 MW or larger.
• Develop detailed electrical designs: layouts, specs, diagrams, cable sizing.
• Perform calculations for voltage drop, ampacity, grounding and fault current.
• Prepare construction drawings using AutoCAD and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Coordinate with clients, utilities, permitting agencies, and contractors.
• Support construction with RFIs, submittals, field issues and site visits.
• Manage multiple projects and meet schedules and deliverables.
• Ensure designs comply with codes, standards, and QA/QC processes.
