Job summary

Atwell, LLC in Dallas seeks a mid-level Electrical Engineer in the Oil & Gas group to support North American projects with a focus on power system studies, utility distribution engineering, substation support, and detailed electrical design.

You will model power systems with ETAP, SKM, PSS/E, PSCAD, or similar tools, develop diagrams, coordinate with clients and vendors, and travel up to 25% for field and commissioning tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution (electric power option preferred).
• 2–6 years of relevant electrical engineering, utility engineering, industrial power systems, consulting engineering, or oil & gas experience.
• FE/EIT is preferred; progress toward PE licensure strongly preferred.
• Experience performing power system studies using ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, PowerFactory, Milsoft, or similar software.
• Knowledge of medium-voltage and low-voltage power systems; experience with distribution, transmission, substation, or industrial power systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical engineering and design activities for industrial, utility, and oil & gas facilities, including medium-voltage and low-voltage power distribution systems.
• Prepare computer-based models and perform power system studies using ETAP, SKM, PSS/E, PSCAD, or similar software.
• Develop and maintain power system models, validate study results, and prepare technical reports and recommendations.
• Support medium and high voltage T&D projects, including distribution upgrades and transmission studies.
• Develop electrical deliverables such as one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, control schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications.
