Astrodyne TDI is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join the Transformer Business Unit in Hackettstown, New Jersey. This onsite role focuses on the design and development of low-, medium-, and high-voltage transformers and power-conversion products for industrial, medical, military, and aerospace applications.

Ideal candidates hold a B.E. in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to mentor junior engineers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience designing medium- or high-voltage electrical systems.
• Proven experience in transformer and power-system development.
• Deep understanding of electrical components used in power-conversion and transformer applications.
• Familiarity with agency compliance requirements (UL, CSA, VDE, CE).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and project execution skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of low-, medium-, and high-voltage transformers, inductors, power distribution units, and power-conversion/control products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Program Management, Sales, Procurement, and Manufacturing Engineering.
• Generate product specifications for new research and development efforts and customer requirements.
• Apply Cadence, Creo, Rale to model, analyze, and optimize electrical designs.
• Produce complete manufacturing documentation (schematics, BOMs, drawings, work instructions, test procedures).
• Perform reliability analyses and design FMEA to mitigate risk.
• Develop and execute design verification test procedures and support root-cause analysis.
