Ramirez, Johnson, and Associates is seeking an Electrical Technical Lead in Denver, CO. This senior PE role will set electrical design standards, review complex designs, and guide project teams across the firm.

You will be the technical escalation point, mentoring engineers and collaborating with architects, owners, and contractors on diverse commercial projects. The role emphasizes leadership, technical authority, and hands-on design work, with a firm-wide influence and a supportive environment

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in electrical engineering; Colorado license or ability to obtain.
• 8+ years of electrical design experience in commercial buildings.
• Deep command of NEC, energy code, power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems.
• Proven experience reviewing others’ work and developing engineers.
• Strong communication, judgment, and curiosity.

Electrical Technical Lead (Senior PE) | Denver, CO

$110,000–$140,000 | Technical Authority | Firm-Wide Influence

Ramirez, Johnson, and Associates (RJA) is a growing MEP engineering firm in Denver’s RiNo District. We’re hiring an Electrical Technical Lead to set the standard for how we design, review, and deliver electrical work across the firm.

This is a senior role for an engineer who is already the person colleagues turn to when a design gets complicated. You’ll shape our technical direction, develop our engineers, and keep doing meaningful engineering work.

What you’ll do:

• Set and maintain electrical design standards, details, and QA/QC practices for the firm
• Review and approve complex electrical designs across projects and offices
• Serve as the technical escalation point for design, code, and coordination questions
• Train and mentor electrical engineers, from interns to project engineers
• Work directly with architects, owners, and contractors on complex commercial and specialty buildings: airports, restaurants, breweries, affordable housing, industrial and municipal facilities
