Job summary

Mercury Systems is seeking a recent college graduate to join our Rotational Engineering Program (REP) as a Component REP Engineer, starting July 2027 in Andover, MA or Hudson, NH. This two-year program provides hands-on technical and leadership development across engineering groups with exposure to senior leaders and cross-functional assignments.

You will perform component reviews, collaborate with Electrical Engineers, manage obsolescence analyses, and contribute to the program BOM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering completed May 2026 to June 2027.
• GPA of 3.1 or higher required; transcripts may be requested.
• Co‑op or internship experience is required.
• Familiarity with electrical components and characteristics.
• Knowledge of electrical circuit design and component data sheets.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
• Experience presenting technical information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to quickly learn new tools, technologies or engineering concepts.

Responsibilities

• Perform component reviews, analysis, and assessment against program requirements for space and military programs.
• Collaborate with Electrical Engineers to support design/development with component knowledge.
• Conduct obsolescence analyses to anticipate EOL and ensure production continuity.
• Review component drawings and verification data packages.
• Conduct alternate part investigations and compare matrixes of parts.
• Interface with internal stakeholders and suppliers to develop component risk and verification delineation.
• Support BOM generation and libraries application in the program tooling.
• Create, revise, and submit NSPARs for customer review and approval supporting screening and qualification plans.
• Develop and maintain reports, databases, and PMP meeting agendas.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform component reviews, analysis, and assessment against program compliance requirements for space and military programs.
• Collaborate closely with Electrical Engineers to support the design/development process with component knowledge and selection.
• Perform various component level obsolescence analysis to identify components going end‑of‑life (EOL) well in advance to ensure continuity of production.
• Review component drawings and associated verification data packages .
• Perform alternate part investigations and generate comparison matrices showing the differences and similarities of the parts
• Interface with multiple internal stakeholders and external suppliers/manufacturers to develop component risk and verification delineation .
• Facilitate component selection and libraries application through the coordination and generation of the program Bill of Material (BOM) in a collaboration toolset
• Create , revise, and submit NSPARs for customer review and approval supporting component screening and qualification plans.
• Develop and maintain appropriate reports, databases and PMP meeting agendas and minutes.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or manufacturing engineering obtained May 2026 and June 2027.
• A minimum GPA of 3.1 is required. You will be asked to submit your transcripts during the application process
• Prior Co‑Op or internship experience
• Familiarity with electrical components and characteristics
• Knowledge of electrical circuit design
• Knowledge of component data sheets
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the MS Office Suite
• Experience presenting technical information to technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline driven environment
• Ability to quickly learn new tools, technologies, or engineering concepts

This position requires you to be able to obtain a government security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. Citizens.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of electronic fabrication techniques and processes such as SMT, chip and wire, hybrids, etc.
• Knowledge of with the design and manufacture of electronic circuit card assemblies
• Knowledge o f with the NSMAR and NSPAR forms or/and process
• Understanding of failure modes in passives and packaged active devices
• Basic knowledge or familiarity with environmental testing per MIL-STD-883 , MIL-PRF-38534, 38535, passive components, etc.

Fulltime Equivalent Job Grade Salary Range for this position

• $56,700.00 - $113,400.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in FL, GA, IN, AZ, AL, MD or TX, and all remote employees
• $63,500.00 - $127,000.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in VA, CA, NH or MA
• $66,900.00 - $133,800.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in NJ
