Job summary

NIDEC Defense Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design generators, motors, and related control/protective systems for commercial, industrial, and military applications. The role blends hands-on design with cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced defense environment.

Qualifications

  • Must demonstrate knowledge of electrical power fundamentals.
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.

Responsibilities

  • Design rotating electrical equipment using LSNA design programs.
  • Ensure manufacturing and testing conform to specifications.
  • Provide technical support to internal and external customers.
  • Mentor and train co-workers as required.
  • Prescribe, interpret, and analyze test results and formulate remedial measures as required.
  • Use Lean and Quality initiatives in a cross functional environment.
  • Support applicable manufacturing and testing system.
  • Utilize ERP/PLM systems to update internal processes and design guidelines.
