Job summary

NIDEC Defense Group in Missouri is seeking an Application Engineer II to collaborate across customers, suppliers, manufacturing and internal teams to develop and support electric motor solutions from concept through production.

You will provide technical expertise to deliver scalable, cost-effective products while balancing performance, quality, schedule and customer requirements, and manage routine to moderately complex projects independently.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
3-5 years engineering experience, preferably in electric motors, HVACR, or manufacturing environments.
Demonstrated ability to manage projects and technical assignments independently.

Responsibilities

Collaborate across customers, suppliers, manufacturing, and internal teams to develop and support electric motor solutions from concept through production.
Provide technical guidance and share knowledge with less experienced team members.
Lead cost reduction, quality improvement, and product enhancement initiatives.
Support software testing, product validation, and new platform development.
Read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings.
