Job summary

1X is hiring an Electrical Engineer to design and deliver electrical subsystems powering the NEO home robot. You will own critical hardware from architecture through production, ensuring performance, safety, reliability and manufacturability.

You will bridge concept and deployment, making key technical decisions that affect scale and robustness, and collaborate with firmware, controls, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to bring this robotic system to life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience designing and shipping complex electrical systems.
• Strong fundamentals in analog and digital circuit design.
• Experience designing, debugging, and validating hardware from schematic design through PCB bring-up.
• Hands-on experience using laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver the electrical systems that power NEO’s capabilities. Own critical hardware subsystems from architecture through production, ensuring they meet performance, reliability, safety, manufacturability, and cost.
• Bridge the gap between concept and deployment, making key technical decisions that impact performance and scalability of our humanoid robots.
• Collaborate with firmware, controls, mechanical, manufacturing, and test engineering to bring ambitious robotic systems into the real world.
• Support production ramp and field deployment through scalable designs and continuous improvement.
