The Prince George’s County Department of Permitting, Inspections, & Enforcementis currently seeking qualified applicants to fill anElectrical Engineer Reviewer III (Engineer Reviewer 3G)position, grade G29,in the Electrical SectionDivision.
About the Position
This is senior level professional level work relating to the analysis of electrical engineering construction plans, schematics, and specifications for compliance with applicable codes, ordinances, standards, and regulations. Incumbents may assume a supervisory or lead role in reviewing and examining the more difficult and complex engineering plans in the field of electrical engineering that require the application of advanced engineering principles. Incumbents may supervise the work of lower-level Engineer Reviewers. Assignments afford opportunities for extensive independent judgment and technical evaluation under the general supervision of an Engineer. Assignments are performed in accordance with established engineering principles and departmental policies and procedures.Job Location:

Conditions of Employment: Upon selection, the candidate must:
Applicant will be required to obtain two (2) certifications from International Code Council (ICC), one of which must be in commercial electrical plan examiner within 12 months of hire.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Meet all training and performance standards and demonstrate proficiencyas required by the agency.
Wear and use agency protective apparel and equipment in the performance of their assigned duties, if applicable.
May be required to successfully pass preemployment checks which may include reference checks, background investigations, motor vehicle background check and drug screenings, where applicable.
Be willingand ableto serve as an essential employee.Essential employees are expected to report during standard or non-standard hours as operationsnecessitate, or during emergencies. Essential employees are expected to report or remain at work when other County employees are granted Administrative Leave.
