Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Electrical Engineer to contribute to a growing renewable energy division. Based in George, you will manage the full lifecycle of projects, from design to performance monitoring, within a forward-thinking team focused on sustainable energy solutions.

You will work on solar PV and wind projects, ensuring safety, compliance, and high performance across site assessments, proposals, procurement, and commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• B.Eng. or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering required.
• 2–4 years of experience in electrical engineering, renewable energy preferred.
• Familiarity with solar PV and/or wind turbine electrical systems and grid integration.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for solar PV and wind energy projects, including grid interconnection.
• Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and prepare technical proposals.
• Manage the procurement and installation of electrical components and equipment.
• Perform system commissioning, testing, and performance monitoring of renewable energy installations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Troubleshoot and optimize the performance of electrical systems in renewable energy applications.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer to play a key role in their expanding renewable energy division based in George . You will be involved in the full lifecycle of renewable energy projects, from initial design and feasibility studies to implementation and performance monitoring. This position offers the chance to contribute to sustainable energy solutions in a growing sector. You will work within a forward-thinking team dedicated to innovation and environmental responsibility, supporting the transition to cleaner energy sources within the Western Cape region and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for solar PV and wind energy projects , including grid interconnection.

Requirements
