Placements24 is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead renewable energy projects from conception through handover, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery and quality. The role emphasizes stakeholder engagement with clients, contractors, and regulators to achieve compliant, successful outcomes.

You will oversee feasibility, design, procurement, construction and commissioning, balancing schedules, budgets, and resources while fostering a high-performance team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in energy/ construction, renewables preferred.
• Knowledge of PMI or Prince2 methodologies is desired.
• Experience with solar, wind or other renewables.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of renewable energy projects from feasibility to commissioning.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams for high performance.
• Identify and mitigate risks to ensure on-time delivery within budget.
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders and regulatory authorities for alignment and compliance.
• Report progress and KPIs to senior management.

About the Role

Our client is expanding its renewable energy division and is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead critical projects based in George . This role is pivotal in overseeing the lifecycle of renewable energy installations, from conception and planning through to execution and handover. You will manage cross-functional teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be crucial in fostering strong relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of renewable energy projects, including feasibility studies, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
• Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing challenges to ensure successful delivery.
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders , and regulatory authorities to ensure project alignment and compliance.
• Monitor project progress, reporting key metrics and performance indicators to senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil), Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the energy or construction industry, with a focus on renewables.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Prince2).
• Experience with solar, wind, or other renewable energy technologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
