Description

An Engineer with AES will lead a team or work on engineering tasks to develop custom solutions meeting customer needs. The candidate should demonstrate adaptability in a fast-paced industry, with strong leadership, organizational, and planning skills, and a detail-oriented approach with ownership of deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

1. Creating and reviewing protection & control settings designs.
2. Performing protection studies and analyses for basis documents and relay setting files.
3. Creating and reviewing HMI settings.
4. Creating and reviewing RTU settings designs.
5. Designing and configuring managed switches and LANs.
6. Ensuring compliance with cybersecurity best practices.
7. Supporting design aspects of engineering projects and assisting departmental engineers.
8. Providing on-site engineering support as needed.
9. Project planning and coordination with limited supervision.
10. Delivering results based on client standards and requirements.
11. Training and developing junior personnel.
12. Leading project portions within a team environment.

Education & Experience

• 2-5 years of relay/protection engineering experience or related industry.
• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Programming experience with protection relays and substation equipment.
• Knowledge of basic engineering principles and procedures.
