Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America in Massillon, OH is seeking a full-time Electrical Engineer to support electrical reliability, project engineering, and process controls across our mill.

Responsibilities include safety, maintenance strategies, outage planning, and cross-team coordination with operations and vendors. A BS in EE and 0–4 years' experience are required. Starting salary ranges from $86,000 to $90,000 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
• 0–4 years of experience in electrical engineering
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Experience using AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Project

Responsibilities

• Work safely and support mill safety, environmental, quality, productivity, and electrical reliability goals across assigned maintenance areas.
• Provide technical direction, troubleshooting, and problem-solving for electrical equipment, systems, and maintenance issues.
• Develop and manage electrical maintenance strategies, preventive/predictive plans, equipment tracking, and rebuild programs.
• Support outage work through planning, scheduling, contractor coordination, training, and spare parts planning.
• Use data to reduce downtime and improve electrical reliability.
• Electrical Project Engineer responsibilities include defining project scopes, budgets, schedules, and vendor coordination; coordinating engineers, contractors, and operations; starting up and supporting project execution.
• Process Controls Engineer responsibilities include PLC/DC/ HMI control system support, programming assistance, and optimization of process control systems; coordinate maintenance and improvements across teams.
