Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) seeks a full-time Electrical Engineer to join our mill team. The role may be titled Electrical Reliability Engineer, Electrical Project Engineer, or Process Controls Engineer based on mill needs.

You will support electrical reliability, project execution, and process control across maintenance teams. Starting salary ranges from $86,000 to $90,000 with benefits including vacation, holidays, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 0–4 years of electrical engineering experience.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. with a valid driver's license.
• Experience using AutoCAD, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Project.
• Familiarity with instrumentation and controls systems (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Work safely and support mill safety, environmental, quality, productivity, and electrical reliability expectations.
• Provide technical direction, troubleshooting, and problem-solving for electrical equipment and maintenance.
• Develop, manage, and improve electrical maintenance strategies and documentation.
• Support outages with planning, scheduling, and spare parts planning.
• Analyze data to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
