Job summary
Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team at multiple mill locations. The role may be titled Electrical Reliability Engineer, Electrical Project Engineer, or Process Controls Engineer based on mill needs.
The position focuses on safety, reliability, and project execution with responsibilities spanning maintenance strategies, project scopes, budgeting, and control system improvements. PCA offers competitive pay and benefits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology or related field.
- 0-4 years of experience in electrical engineering.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must have valid driver's license.
- Experience using Auto Cad, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Project.
Responsibilities
- Electrical Reliability Engineer: support maintenance safety, environmental, quality, productivity, and electrical reliability across assigned areas.
- Electrical Project Engineer: develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, material requirements, equipment specs, and vendor plans.
- Process Controls Engineer: provide control system solutions, programming assistance, and PLC/HMI support across mill operations.
- Coordinate planning, scheduling, and contractor coordination for outages and projects.
- Analyze equipment history, repair costs, and data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Assist management with additional duties as assigned.
