Job summary
Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking an Electrical Engineer for full-time work at our Valdosta area facilities. The role may align with Electrical Reliability Engineer, Electrical Project Engineer, or Process Controls Engineer based on mill needs.
You will help improve electrical reliability, lead project scopes, and coordinate with contractors while ensuring safety and environmental compliance across maintenance domains. PCA offers competitive pay and benefits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field required.
- 0-4 years of experience in electrical engineering.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must have valid driver's license.
- Experience using AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Project.
Responsibilities
- Work safely and support mill safety, environmental, quality, productivity, and electrical reliability expectations across assigned maintenance areas.
- Provide technical direction, troubleshooting support, and problem-solving assistance for electrical equipment, systems, and maintenance issues.
- Develop, manage, and improve electrical maintenance strategies, preventive and predictive maintenance programs, equipment tracking, rebuild programs, and documentation.
- Support daily, monthly, and annual outage work through planning, scheduling, contractor coordination, training, spare parts planning, and field support.
