Xcimer Energy is hiring an Electrical Engineer for its Integration team at the Denver headquarters. You will turn control system wiring and interconnect definitions into complete, buildable electrical design packages and carry them through fabrication, checkout, and handoff with the EIC technician team, supporting directed energy laser programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field; advanced degree a plus.
• Typically 5+ years of electrical design experience for control systems, industrial automation, or test facilities.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70, NFPA 79, UL 508A; work with PLCs and I/O.
• Experience releasing drawings through change control and with PLM/document management systems.
• Ability to work independently and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsabilités

• Translate controls I/O lists and interconnects into complete electrical design packages (schematics, layouts, BOMs).
• Own design packages end to end from requirements through as-built.
• Design grounding, bonding, shielding, and isolation for pulsed power and high-EMI environments.
• Specify and size control power, instrument power distribution, and protection per NEC/NFPA/UL.
• Plan and lead handoff to EIC technicians, including build instructions and kitting.
• Develop checkout and commissioning procedures with technicians and controls engineers.
• Coordinate electrical interfaces with mechanical, pulsed power, optics, and facilities teams.
• Support installation, troubleshoot wiring and signal issues, document root cause and changes.
• Contribute to Electrical Engineering standards and templates.
• Lead small work packages and mentor junior engineers.
