Job summary

L3Harris in Rochester, NY seeks a Senior Specialist, Electrical Engineer to support military communication products throughout their lifecycle. You will investigate analog, digital and RF issues, diagnose at the component level, and implement corrective actions with cross-functional teams for a successful launch into production.

The role emphasizes circuit design, testing, and troubleshooting, with opportunities to lead small technical teams and use LabVIEW and Jira.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum 6 years of related experience; graduate degree with 4+ years; or 10+ years without degree.
• Experience reading schematics and datasheets, probing circuits and understanding proper circuit operation.
• Experience leading small technical design or troubleshooting teams and coordinating tasks to meet yields and shipments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily factory yields and investigate failures to determine corrective actions.
• Mitigate component shortages by selecting alternatives or redesigning circuits.
• Design and analyze circuits; run tests to improve yields and product quality.
• Lead cross-functional teams to meet manufacturability and DFx requirements.
• Support new product launches and perform root-cause analysis on prototypes.
