Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking an Electrical Engineer in the United States. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution with minimum one co‑op or internship work experience in Electrical Engineering.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical aspects of power distribution & monitoring products per approved engineering specifications.
• Conduct extensive hands-on laboratory work with high power electrical systems including batteries and UPS
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with overall manufacturing processes.
• Develop and maintain documentation and schematics for electrical systems.
• Plan and test for Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) certification of new and existing products.
• Communicate and support engineering team, designers, and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
• Prepare cost reduction proposals for new and existing products based on cost trades, design improvements and Value-Added Value Engineering (VAVE) process.
• Create and maintain accurate documentation of design concepts, tool drawings and shop orders in coordination with the Quality Assurance and Manufacturing functions.
• Partner with manufacturing team early in the design process to ensure solutions are optimized for manufacturability, efficiency, and scalability.
• Execute project activities with cross functional teams.
