Job summary

SpaceXAI is hiring exceptional Electrical Engineers to join our Memphis‑area team and help design, build, and optimize power infrastructure for high‑density AI supercomputing facilities. This full‑time, onsite role spans battery storage, power transmission, and on‑site generation, with cross‑functional collaboration across electrical, mechanical, power systems, and construction teams.

You will develop diagrams, perform power system studies, and ensure compliance with NERC/IEEE/NEC standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required.
• Experience with high‑voltage systems, protection schemes, and interconnection concepts preferred.
• Willingness to work onsite in the Memphis area and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for on‑site power generation, high‑voltage transmission, and large‑scale battery energy storage supporting AI data centers.
• Create single‑line diagrams, protection/controls schematics, relay settings, and interconnection designs.
• Perform detailed power system studies (load flow, short circuit, arc flash, transient stability) using ETAP, PSS/E, or equivalents.
• Integrate electrical systems with generators, battery storage, transmission infrastructure, and data center loads.
• Ensure compliance with standards (NERC, ERCOT, IEEE, NEC, NFPA, UL) and assist with permitting and utility coordination.
• Support equipment specification, vendor selection, factory testing, site commissioning, and energization.
• Conduct FMEA, root cause investigations, and reliability modeling to achieve extreme uptime targets.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on new facility builds and capacity expansions.
