Job summary

Ameren Missouri is seeking a power design engineer to support gas generation projects, providing technical guidance across electrical engineering topics and ensuring safe, high-quality design and site execution.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of power/EE design experience. A Missouri PE license is preferred but not required; travel and on-site work are expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited college or university.
• 5+ years of power/EE design engineering experience for Power Generation facilities.
• Experience with gas turbines, combined cycle plants, turbomachinery, or energy center systems.
• Missouri PE license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support on EE fields for gas generation projects.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate activities as directed by the Manager.
• Provide engineering recommendations considering safety, customer affordability, and design standards.
• Interface with outside engineers, vendors, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Provide QA / QC of external EE work and lead by example on design elements.
