Job summary

Ameren Missouri is seeking a Senior Power/EE Design Engineer to support new gas generation projects. The role involves technical leadership across multiple engineering disciplines, interfacing with external engineers and vendors, and ensuring design quality and safety standards.

The position requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years’ experience in power generation design, and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited program) required.
• Five+ years of power and/or EE design engineering experience for power generation facilities preferred.
• Missouri PE license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the team of professional/technical staff in all phases of new gas generation projects; provide technical support on EE topics.
• Plan, schedule, prioritize, and coordinate activities to ensure high quality, timely assignments.
• Provide sound engineering recommendations considering safety, affordability, and Ameren standards.
• Interface with outside engineers, vendors, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies as needed.
• Provide guidance and QA/QC of external EE work; set expectations for high-quality work.
• On-site support during all phases of Energy Center project design, construction, startup, and testing.
• Collaborate with Ameren teams as required.
• Stay current with turbine-generator and auxiliary EE technology.
