Job summary

MP Systems is seeking an Electrical Engineer for our Enfield, Connecticut site. You will diagnose machine issues, design and integrate electrical and hydraulic systems, and manage cross-functional projects from prototype to manufacturing. Occasional travel to customer sites is required.

The role requires a BS in Engineering or equivalent, proficiency in PLCs and CAD, and strong root-cause analysis and project management skills. Competitive benefits and on-site work only.

Qualifications

• B.S. or higher in Engineering, physics, or equivalent work experience including trade skills
• Knowledge of PLC programming and ladder logic
• Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems
• Ability to diagnose failures and identify root causes
• Experience with CAD drawings/schematics and creating drawings

Responsibilities

• Research and development of new products
• Manage projects through design, prototype and manufacturing phases
• Mentor junior engineers
• Create design changes based on root-cause analyses
• Create electrical systems (3-phase power, low-voltage controls, motor controls, PLC)
• Improve products and maintain documentation
• Understand product applications and provide live technical support via phone and email
