Job summary

Engtal is partnering with a long-established industrial equipment manufacturer in the Dayton area to hire an Electrical Controls Engineer. The role covers ownership of electrical design and controls programming for customized furnace systems, with exposure from initial engineering through startup and final implementation.

You will develop schematics, program PLCs, test systems, and support commissioning on customer sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in electrical controls, automation, or related engineering.
• Hands-on PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs; Siemens is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical schematics, control panel/enclosure layouts, and documentation in AutoCAD.
• Design electrical control systems for custom industrial equipment.
• Develop and program PLC and HMI applications from scratch.
• Test, troubleshoot, and debug electrical and PLC systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, project, and manufacturing teams through the equipment build.
