Job summary

Essity in Barton, AL is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support manufacturing, engineering, and maintenance in optimizing process controls for better efficiency and run-ability.

You will lead technical tasks, provide guidance to E/I Technicians, develop preventive maintenance procedures, participate in safety initiatives, and collaborate with reliability and operations teams to improve equipment performance.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of PLCs.
• Thorough knowledge of VFDs.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex control systems.
• Knowledge of hydraulic components and systems.
• Knowledge of pneumatic components and systems.
• Knowledge of instrumentation and process controls.
• Ability to work as an electrician if needed.
• Mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong linkages with Engineers, Maintenance Planners and technicians.
• Attend area safety initiatives and safety meetings.
• Participate in maintenance outage planning for area of responsibility.
• Collaborate with Operations, Reliability and Engineering to solve equipment reliability issues.
• Assist Maintenance Planner and Supervisors to complete daily work orders.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures.
