Job summary

Adient plc is seeking a Manufacturing Controls Engineer to design, develop and supervise electrical control systems for the Clanton plant in Alabama. The role covers installation, technical support of PLC hardware and software, and Siemens PLC programming to ensure efficient production.

The engineer will assist with needs assessment for computer and software requirements, provide PLC/PC training as needed, and design/test/debug simple programs while maintaining documented code and routines.

Qualifications

Designs, codes, tests and debugs simple programs.
Maintains and documents programs.
Responds to disruptions of production systems in a timely and appropriate manner.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and supervise electrical control systems, equipment and machinery.
Installation and technical support of PLC hardware and software.
Programmable knowledge in PLC (Siemens preferred).
Assist with needs assessment for computer and software requirements in all areas of the facility.
Assist with PLC and PC training as required.
Designs, codes, tests and debugs simple programs.
Maintains and documents programs.
Assists higher level programmer/analyst/engineer with design work.
Follows established methods and procedures.
Responds to disruptions of production systems in a timely and appropriate manner.
Helps provide solutions in making technical logic meet the needs of the users.
