Job summary

HMH in Houston, TX seeks an Electrical Engineer to lead the detailed design of PLC-based control systems, power electronics design, simulation, and electromagnetic analysis. You will troubleshoot and develop user test programs to improve performance and efficiency, collaborating with mechanical, software and commissioning teams from concept to installation.

Requirements include a BS in Electrical/Controls Engineering, at least 2 years of relevant experience, experience in electrical cabinet

Qualifications

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic or Controls Engineering.
Experience in electrical cabinet design.
Familiarity with control system design and electrical components selection.
Familiarity with power distribution and networking technology.
Experience with AutoCAD.
Ability to create technical reports, specifications and interact with customers.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and document electrical control cabinets—ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable performance.
Integrate Siemens PLCs into control cabinet designs.
Develop and manage electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.
Collaborate with mechanical, software, and commissioning teams from concept to installation.
Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continual improvement initiatives.
Participate in FAT/SAT, testing, and customer acceptance as needed.
