Harris American is seeking an Electrical Controls Technician to design, implement, and maintain electrical control systems for industrial automation. You will design panels, select PLCs/HMIs, program logic, and ensure robust communication networks.

The role also supports field service and in-factory engineering, with responsibilities in testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and compliance with NFPA/NEC/IEC standards. On-site location in Baxley, GA.

Qualifications

• Strong background in electrical engineering and PLC programming.
• Experience designing control panels and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of Ethernet/IP and Modbus protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical control systems for industrial machinery.
• Select and specify PLCs, HMIs, sensors, actuators, and other devices.
• Program PLCs, HMIs using ladder logic, structured text, or function blocks.
• Configure Ethernet/IP or Modbus networks.
• Test and validate control systems for reliability and safety.
• Prepare wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, and manuals.
