Job summary

Armstrong World Industries, Marietta, PA, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support manufacturing equipment, maintenance systems and production processes. You will lead PLC-based capital projects and contribute to lean initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years of manufacturing electrical experience, with Rockwell PLC/HMI and Wonderware skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years of electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with PLC and HMI programming (Rockwell).
• Experience with Wonderware application programming and support.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical engineering support to the Marietta plant's equipment, maintenance and production processes.
• Manage plant capital projects with emphasis on PLC-based systems.
• Investigate and resolve electrical issues affecting reliability and performance.
• Develop preliminary concepts and budgets for new electrical projects.
• Assist in vendor bid packages and final vendor selection.
• Execute capital projects within cost, schedule, and performance goals.
• Educate plant personnel on electrical engineering matters.
• Coordinate training and start-up of new equipment.
• Participate in Lean kaizen events to drive efficiency.
• Provide status updates on project progress and issues.
