Job summary

Armstrong World Industries in Millwood, West Virginia seeks a Project Engineer to lead plant level capital and non-capital projects, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operations. You will collaborate with maintenance teams, contractors, and plant leadership to drive improvements and manage project scopes and budgets.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with 5+ years in manufacturing, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in MS Office, MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline, 5+ years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment or industrial maintenance
• Ability to understand and use various computer software programs such as- Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, SAP.

Responsibilities

• Providing project support for safe and successful implementation of plant capital project plan
• Analyzing and implementing initiatives to improve safety systems, manufacturing processes, maintenance services and physical facilities.
• Supporting Plant, Divisional, and corporate proposed efforts, and driving equipment reliability
• Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities using Lean Manufacturing tools
• Responsible for providing direction and leadership to maintenance personnel and contractors for safe and successful project implementation
• Responsible for developing scope and budget for small scale capital projects
