Job summary

Veolia in North America seeks an Electrical/Mechanical Engineer to support day-to-day plant operations at the site and collaborate with the Acid Technology Center. The role emphasizes safety, process improvements, reliability, and cost reduction while delivering high-quality outputs.

The engineer will lead projects, interpret electrical schematics and PLC logic, engage with operations, contractors, and customers, and ensure compliance with PSM and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related.
• 3–5 years of experience with industrial or commercial power generation systems.
• Experience with diesel and/or natural gas generators, switchgear, ATS, and generator controls.
• Experience with SCADA systems and remote monitoring.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, PLC logic, and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Improve safety, process, mechanical and product quality with focus on efficient output at lower cost.
• Lead and implement projects for reliability, efficiency and yield.
• Provide technical support for day-to-day operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with external customers, contractors and safety/environmental teams.
• Support Process Safety Management and environmental compliance.
