Job summary

Stratus Team, LLC in Minneapolis / St. Paul area is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a full-time position partnering with Kestrel Engineering.

You will support all project phases with a focus on detailed engineering and strong client communication. Required: a BSc in electrical engineering with 5–10 years in petrochemical/oil & gas/power or related industries; a PE license; ability to manage quality of deliverables; power system studies using SKM/ETAP/EasyPower; and experience specifying large

Qualifications

• BSc in electrical engineering with 5–10 years in petrochemical/oil & gas/power or related industries.
• PE license required with ability to register with NCEES and in other states.
• Ability to lead quality management of discipline deliverables.
• Ability to perform power system studies (short circuit, load flow, coordination) with SKM/ETAP/EasyPower.
• Experience specifying large electrical equipment (transformers, switchgear, MCCs, VFDs).
• Experience in area classification and compliance with NFPA/API/IEEE/NEMA codes.
• TWIC eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Development of electrical power systems deliverables including one-line, schematic, and grounding designs.
• Sizing and specification of electrical equipment; prepare datasheets.
• Lighting, grounding, and cable tray design; conduit sizing.
• Review shop drawings and data; interface with suppliers and clients.
• Prepare construction drawings and specification packages.
