Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller Design Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer, PE to join our Pasadena/Portland team. The role focuses on designing complete electrical systems for large manufacturing facilities, including power, lighting, and fire alarm systems.

You will apply NEC standards, perform load-flow analyses, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate has 6+ years of experience in manufacturing electrical design, strong NEC knowledge, and proficiency in Easy Power, REVIT, and

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
• PE licensure or ability to obtain licensure in multiple states
• 6+ years of electrical design experience in manufacturing sectors (food, beverage, CPG)
• Strong NEC knowledge and power distribution expertise (low/medium voltage)
• Experience with lighting design and industrial lighting solutions
• Proficiency in Easy Power, REVIT, and AutoCAD
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; willingness to travel

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for large manufacturing facilities (power, lighting, fire alarm) and ensure NEC compliance
• Perform load-flow analysis to optimize energy use and distribution
• Lead cross-disciplinary design efforts and collaborate with clients
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to multi-discipline facility projects
• Utilize Easy Power, REVIT, and AutoCAD for modeling and simulations
