Job summary

Jackola Engineering & Architecture in Bozeman, MT seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer (PE) to join our collaborative design team. You will lead electrical design efforts across diverse building types from concept through construction, mentoring staff and coordinating with clients and vendors.

The role emphasizes strong technical skills, teamwork, and delivering high-quality electrical solutions aligned with project goals. Occasional travel for site visits may be required.

Qualifications

• PE license in Electrical Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience designing building electrical systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical building systems, codes, and energy requirements.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor electrical design staff through project design and construction.
• Develop practical, efficient electrical design solutions for projects.
• Design power, lighting, and related building systems; prepare construction documents and specs.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, manufacturers, vendors and internal teams.
• Perform major equipment sizing and selection.
• Support construction administration and respond to contractor questions.
