Job summary

SpaceXAI seeks exceptional Electrical Engineers for on-site power generation design and optimization at our Memphis-area facilities. You will own plant electrical systems for gas-turbine generation, including 34.5 kV collect/export, protection, e-houses, and switching.

You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and data-center teams to deliver massive-scale generation and ensure compliance with NERC/IEEE standards. This is a full-time, on-site role in the Memphis region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Experience with gas turbine generators, excitation, synchronization, and islanded operation.

Responsibilities

• Own plant electrical systems for on-site gas turbine generation supporting AI superclusters, including generators, excitation, synchronization, auxiliaries, and balance-of-plant electrical.
• Design and engineer 34.5 kV collect and export systems, protection and control, e-houses, blackstart capability, and related medium-voltage infrastructure.
• Serve as switching authority for plant electrical systems, including switching procedures, isolation, clearance, and energization.
• Develop single-line diagrams, protection & control schematics, relay settings, and interconnection designs.
• Perform detailed power system studies (load flow, short circuit, arc flash, transient stability, harmonics) using ETAP, PSS/E, or equivalent tools.
• Integrate generation with plant systems, 34.5 kV collect/export, and downstream data center loads.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards (NERC, ERCOT, IEEE, NEC, NFPA, UL) and support permitting and utility coordination.
• Support equipment specification, vendor selection, factory testing, site commissioning, and energization.
• Conduct failure mode analysis (FMEA), root cause investigations, and reliability modeling to achieve extreme uptime targets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new facility builds, capacity expansions, and continuous improvement of power standard
