Job summary

Novelis Bay Minette, AL seeks an Electrical Engineer to join on site. You will contribute to safety, quality and efficiency while advancing automation and control systems in an aluminum recycling and rolling environment.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, 3+ years of experience, and hands-on PLC/HMI programming with Allen-Bradley Studio 5000. Travel up to 10% may be expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in factory electrical engineering.
• Experience with PLCs/HMI programming and drive systems.
• Strong problem solving and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement electrical engineering solutions for plant processes.
• Support maintenance and operations to improve uptime and safety.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Process teams.
• Lead and mentor staff on electrical controls and reliability initiatives.
• Apply advances in controls for recycle, remelt, and casting applications.
• Ensure compliance with ISO and safety standards.
