Job summary

Novelis, a world leader in aluminum recycling and rolling, seeks an experienced Automation Engineer for the Uhrichsville, OH facility. You will own plant automation, PLC/SCADA, instrumentation, and OT systems, delivering reliability, safety, quality, and production improvements in a hands-on role.

You will work on modernization initiatives, capital projects, and system design from concept through commissioning, collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in automation/controls engineering.
• Experience with PLC, SCADA, instrumentation, and machine safety systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities.
• Experience with Rockwell Automation PLC platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own plant automation, controls, instrumentation, and OT to improve reliability and production performance.
• Support PLC, SCADA, HMI, and safety systems; lead complex troubleshooting.
• Diagnose equipment failures and process interruptions via systematic root cause analysis.
• Lead modernization and capital projects and participate in design, testing, and commissioning.
