Job summary
Edgewater Technical Associates seeks an Electrical Engineer in Oak Ridge, TN to perform electrical design, procurement, construction, installation, testing and safety activities up to 600 volts.
The role requires a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience, including 2 years in nuclear/DOE environments; familiarity with NFPA codes, DOE standards, and safety culture is preferred. On-site opportunity with competitive benefits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
- Minimum 5 years of job-related experience.
- 2 years nuclear/DOE experience preferred.
- Familiarity with DOE orders, NFPA codes, and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Performs 600 volts and less electrical design, procurement, construction, installation, testing, and safety activities.
- Prepares modifications, field change notices, engineering change responses, drawings and reports; maintains as-built SSC configuration.
- Participates in design reviews and evaluations as assigned.
- Keeps knowledge of NFPA 70/70E, ANSI C2, 29 CFR 1910/1926, DOE Criteria, and related standards.
- Supports Electrical Safety and ISMS principles and may inspect unlisted equipment as assigned.
