Job summary

Ghafari Associates seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and analyze lighting, power, and low voltage systems for Mission Critical facilities. You will work under supervision with senior staff and collaborate with project teams to ensure code compliance and quality.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, professional registration, and LEED accreditation preferred, with 5+ years of relevant experience. Hybrid work across Dearborn, MI and other locations is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
• Professional Registration
• LEED accredited professional qualification preferred
• 5+ years related and progressively more responsible experience in electrical engineering field

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze electrical systems for architectural, electrical and mechanical components.
• Design and engineer lighting and power distribution systems, low voltage systems, including sizing of equipment.
• Review project scope, electrical budget, design approach and constraints with PM or client.
• Adhere to NEC and NFPA standards in electrical design.
• Prepare feasibility studies and schematic design packages for lighting and power systems.
