Job summary

Stillpoint AEC is seeking an Electrical Engineer with current experience designing electrical systems for buildings within an MEP consulting environment. Responsibilities and project leadership will align with your technical expertise.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
Experience designing electrical systems in MEP/AEC environments required.
Proficiency with NEC, NFPA, energy codes and building codes.

Responsibilities

Design building electrical systems: power distribution, lighting, emergency power, fire alarm, grounding, and low-voltage systems.
Perform load calculations, voltage drop, short-circuit and coordination studies.
Develop single-line diagrams, panel schedules, lighting layouts, and equipment specifications.
Design electrical service and distribution: transformers, switchgear, switchboards, generators.
Prepare calculations, reports, plans, specs and construction documents.
Coordinate with architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and other disciplines.
Support project phases from schematic design to construction administration.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship based on experience.
