Stillpoint AEC is seeking an Electrical Engineer with current experience designing electrical systems for buildings in an MEP consulting environment. Responsibilities include power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, and coordination with other disciplines.

The role involves design through construction documentation, NEC/NFPA compliance, and ongoing project mentorship. Hybrid and/or onsite opportunities are available, with growth toward project and technical leadership.

Qualifikationen

• Current electrical building systems design experience in MEP/AEC environment.
• Experience with power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and fire alarm systems.
• PE licensure preferred; EIT candidates considered.
• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM PowerTools, EasyPower, AGi32, Visual Lighting or similar.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, energy codes and building codes.
• Experience preparing electrical calculations, plans, specs, and construction documents.

Aufgaben

• Design building electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency and standby power, fire alarm, grounding, and low-voltage systems.
• Perform electrical load calculations, voltage drop calculations, short-circuit and coordination studies, equipment sizing, and related electrical engineering analysis.
• Develop power distribution systems, single-line diagrams, panel schedules, lighting layouts, lighting controls, and electrical equipment specifications.
• Perform electrical service and distribution design including transformers, switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, generators, and related building electrical infrastructure.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, plans, specifications, and construction documents.
• Apply NEC, NFPA, energy codes, and applicable building and electrical design standards.
• Coordinate electrical systems with architectural, mechanical, plumbing, structural, civil, technology, and other project disciplines.
• Support projects through schematic design, design development, construction documentation, permitting, bidding, and construction administration.
• Provide project coordination, technical guidance, client interaction, and mentorship based on experience level.
