Job summary

Stillpoint AEC seeks an Electrical Engineer to design building electrical systems and lead project tasks in a multi-disciplinary setting in Atlanta. Responsibilities include power distribution, lighting, emergency power, fire alarm, and NEC/NFPA compliance. Produce plans, calculations, and specifications while coordinating with architects, MEP, and other disciplines.

PE licensure preferred; EIT considered. The role offers hybrid/onsite work, meaningful project ownership, mentorship, and ongoing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline preferred.
• Current electrical building systems design experience within an MEP/AEC environment required.
• Experience with power distribution, lighting, emergency power, fire alarm, and other building electrical systems.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred; EIT candidates actively progressing toward PE licensure will be considered.
• Experience with NEC, NFPA standards, energy codes, and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Design building electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency and standby power, fire alarm, grounding, and low-voltage systems.
• Perform electrical load calculations, voltage drop calculations, short-circuit and coordination studies, equipment sizing, and related analyses.
• Develop power distribution systems, single-line diagrams, panel schedules, lighting layouts, and electrical equipment specifications.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, plans, specifications, and construction documents.
• Coordinate electrical systems with architectural, mechanical, plumbing, structural, civil, and other disciplines.
• Support projects through schematic design, design development, construction documentation, permitting, bidding, and construction administration.
• Provide project coordination, technical guidance, client interaction, and mentorship based on experience level.
