Job summary

Stillpoint AEC, a leading MEP consulting firm with a strong regional footprint, seeks an Electrical Engineer to design building electrical systems within an AEC environment. You will lead electrical design efforts, coordinate across disciplines, and contribute to complex projects from schematic design through construction.

The role offers hybrid/onsite work opportunities, mentorship, and pathways for PE licensure while delivering innovative solutions on notable building projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline preferred.
• PE licensure preferred; EIT candidates considered.
• Experience with NEC, NFPA, energy codes and applicable building codes.
• Experience with electrical design platforms such as Revit, AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM PowerTools, EasyPower, AGi32, Visual Lighting.

Responsibilities

• Design building electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, fire alarm and grounding.
• Perform load calculations, voltage drop, short-circuit and coordination studies.
• Develop single-line diagrams, panel schedules, lighting layouts and specifications.
• Design transformers, switchgear, switchboards, generators and related infrastructure.
• Prepare calculations, reports, plans, specs and construction documents.
• Coordinate with architecture, mechanical, plumbing, structural and other disciplines.
• Support schematic design, development, permitting, bidding and construction administration.
• Provide project coordination and mentorship based on experience level.
