Job summary

Harmar Mobility in Florida is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our product development team. You will define, prototype, test, and debug electronics for mobility devices, ensuring safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance from design through production.

You will collaborate with suppliers and customers, evaluate concepts for function and manufacturability, manage engineering documentation such as BOMs, and help drive mass production while improving time-to-market.

Qualifications

• History of working independently and in a team under time/resource constraints.
• Strong planning/organizational skills to manage projects and priorities.
• Strong technical problem solving and ability to develop workflow solutions.
• Effective interpersonal skills for precise, persuasive communication.
• Experience selecting electrical/electronic components with customers/suppliers.
• Familiar with firmware/hardware interactions and compliance issues.

Responsibilities

• Define, document, prototype, test and debug electronics for medical devices.
• Evaluate concepts for function, manufacturability, packaging and material handling.
• Generate product prototypes, perform testing and ensure specifications and timing objectives.
• Develop cost analyses for new and modified product concepts from design through production launch.
• Assist in bringing the product to mass production.
• Work on special projects such as evaluating competitive product and new processes.
• Provides Technical support in solving electronic product quality problems.
• Improve the electronics development process to guarantee quality and time-to-market.
• Coordinate compliance testing (FDA, CE, UL, NEC, FCC).
• Maintain engineering documentation such as bills of material and procedures.
