Job summary

Harmar Mobility LLC in Sarasota, FL, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to join our team developing mechanical and electro-mechanical lift products. You will work with senior engineers on sustaining and new product innovations, and help ensure manufacturability and cost-effective solutions.

The ideal candidate has a BS in mechanical engineering (ABET-accredited) with at least 2 years of industrial experience, CAD experience (SolidWorks), and familiarity with DFM/DFMEA, FEA, GD&T, and risk

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years industrial experience.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• Experience in mechanical and electro-mechanical design.
• SolidWorks CAD experience.
• Design control through verification and validation.
• Knowledge of DFT, DFM, DFMEA/PFMEA, FEA, GD&T, Risk Analysis.
• Strong planning and project management skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical and electro-mechanical systems for lift products.
• Prototype, test, debug, and release designs to production.
• Evaluate concepts for manufacturability and packaging.
• Create and review engineering drawings with GD&T.
• Plan and develop test plans and coordinate testing.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards.
